For those days when 7-cards is simply too many...
1 - Past
2 - Present
3 The Unknown
4 - Immediate Future
5 - Long-term Future
The Unkown, is what the universe is about to drop in your lap. It's a 'fortune telling' card, modern purists will tell you "our future is not written in stone, there's always free will!" This card does not recognize free-will, things are already in motion, the Unknown is also Unavoidable.
But this is the key to the whole spread...
First you have the first 3 cards as a three card stand alone spread (1-2-3).
Then you have the second set of three (3-4-5). and they should be read as two, 3-card spreads.
Then you have the over view wrap-it-up-3-card-spread within the spread...1-3-5.
Then you have the What Can You Do About aspect of the spread (final comments section). which is a 2-Card spread. (2 & 4).
