...And what a reading it is!

I asked three questions before I drew my cards.

1) What will you give me?

2) What do you want in return?

3) How will our relationship be?

I was bowled over by the cards I drew:

1) The Magician.

2) The Fool.

3) The Sun.

I shuffled the complete deck. I never work with just Major Arcana, I know many do but imho, if this was the way to go, then there would be no need for Minor Arcana. Digressing slightly, if anyone can tell me why they like to read with just Majors, I'd love to hear your ways.

Anyway, back to my reading.

Firstly, I adore the Magician. He's my favourite card in any deck and he's my husband's life card. I see this guy as the all-knowing power of the universe and for him to come to me and tell me he'll share some of his knowledge with me is just fantastic.

In return, He shows me The Fool and he reminds me not to ask for too much too soon. The tarot is an endless learning curve and I'm just embarking on my journey with this deck.

And how about The Sun for my future relationship with The Gothic tarot? I don't think it can get any better than that!

I've had the Gothic tarot for a couple of years now and I'm ashamed to say this is the first reading I've done with it. I've looked at it plenty, but just marvelled at the images. Last week, something inside me snapped and I ordered the Gothic Tarot Compendium, deciding that when it arrived, I'd begin studying the Gothic and reading with it properly. Well, unfortunately the UK's currently being hit by a series of postal strikes so it may well be delayed at this end.

This morning I could wait no longer and drew my cards.

This reading tells me once again that even if we don't always know when the time is right for such things, the universe does. Or my spirit guides, at any rate.

If there are any clouds around in here, I'm floating on them!
