XX-JUDGEMENT
A woman, or her spirit, rising from her grave to face the angel Gabriel, who stand on a pedastal, looking down at her, his hands stretched out and palms down facing her. Is he telling her to stop, to wait before going on or forgiving her sins?
Divination : RELEASE
The seeker is liberated from or able to let go of a situation or person. This deliverence may come in the form of:
* a move,
* change of job or career,
* cure of a health problem or,
* release of a loved one.
BUT......
The booklet that accompanies the GOTHIC TAROT gives a much different defination. And I quote...
"spiritual rebirth, accounting for faults and atoning for mistakes, giving and accepting foregiveness, a change or renewal."
Mara, this is where your statement that these cards speak a different language really jumps out. I am comfortable with both "interpetations" and there is some commonality in them. But there is also some very distinct, important differences. Such that the card can take me down two paths in opposite directions. THis then begs the question, which do I trust? The more traditional divination or that which the Joseph Vargo deplicted in his beautiful artwork. I feel that in time, I wil become fluent in this new "language" but for now, its going to be "wait and see what happens".
SIde note - The cards fell fantastic. The time I have used over the last week or so to get attuned and used to them has paid off. The cards feel good in my hands, shuffling is not cumbersome or awkward but very comfortable. The images, so beautiful, jump out at me. Now I just have to listen to them more I think.
