Posts: 9 09/03/05 9:15	I have been a fan of Joseph Vargo and Christine Filipak's work for some time now. From their CDs and Calendars to their book "Tales from the Dark Tower" and "Dark Realms Magazine." I have to say that the long awaited new Art Book tops them all. I am an avid collector of Joseph's work and there are images in the new Art Book I have never seen before. If you a fan, you know that Joseph is known for the his use of dark colors in all his work. It was a surprise to see the use of color in some of his images. It showed a different side of Joseph's talents. I have received my 2006 Born of the Night Calendar and the new "Winter's Knight" CD already and they are both great. You just keep it coming ......You to fill my dark desires ! Posts: 5 09/03/05 10:53	I wasn't sure if I was going to buy the art book, since I was worried it might just contain a lot of his more popular artwork that I already own on the tarot deck, book, magazines, calendars, journals, etc. But if you're also a big fan of Joseph Vargo and you were satisfied with it, then I should definitely buy it. Do you know if there are any new paintings? Well, either way, I guess it would be great to have so much of his amazing artwork in a single collection like this.

Posts: 704 09/04/05 8:18 Darkling	What I found fascinating was the ability to see how certain works have evolved over time, incarnation to incarnation. Many of the works you may recognize, luciddreams79, I did too - but to see them evolve on full color glossy art pages is really a treat. Also, as a fan, I really enjoyed being able to read the backstory on certain paintings, as each work is discussed by the artist. I was surprised to see how brilliant some works were too, once I received the art book, having become accustomed to seeing their slightly-paler and certainly miniature versions within the Gothic Tarot card reprints. Now I only wish I could go to a gallery show and see the canvases in person... wouldn't it be cool to see the works, full size, in their original colors, brushstrokes and all? Posts: 9 09/05/05 12:04	Yes there are images that you have already seen in other things whether it be a calendar or the tarot cards BUT then there are some new ones also from Joseph's earlier works prior to creating MonolithGraphics. Having all his work in on book a great. The book is beautifully designed (Thank you Christine!)and printed on high quality gloss paper and there are even brief stories to each image. It's definitely worth getting. I LOVE mine, no matter how many time I look through it I always catch something I didn't see before. Wicked Wishes, dragonkeeper914

Posts: 9 09/05/05 12:26	I would absolutely love to go to a gallery showing. I know prior to creating MonolithGraphics they did do gallery showings but I'm not sure they so that any longer. Maybe at if there are any Renaissance Fairs in Cleveland local to them they might. It would be GREAT to see the canvases in person full size, in their original colors, brushstrokes and all? I would hope that if there was that sort of opportunity they would announce it (Ya hear me Joseph?) on the MonolithGraphics website. Wicked Wishes, dragonkeeper914

Posts: 30 11/04/05 3:12 Denizen	[b]I like Vargo's work a lot, due to the fact that I think some of his art work has meaning, I got attached to Vargo's work through Midnight Syndicate, when I first bought Born of the Night cd the picture was to breath taking, and so are all the other pictures on all the Midnight Syndicate and his as well. Most people think that his art work is dark and morbid that there is nothing to it, but I think their is, his art work has meaning, and his music inspires me to write horror stories, I just put a Midnight Syndicate or one of Joseph's cds in and I am in my own little world listening to the tracks. So what I am trying to say is that Vargo's art work may be morbid, dark and gothic but to some people his art work has some meaning to is and it is what he likes to do. Out of all the art work I had seend Vargo's is the best, due to the fact that he puts so much detail into his work.

Yes, his work is dark but each of his images tells a story and I relate to that whether is be music, writting or his art. I have loved everything Joseph has created and never have I found another artist that I felt that way about. I can't wait for a sequel to the Dark Tower and another Artwork Book to be released. Posts: 1 01/09/06 7:42	hey people whats up i get the bron of the night gothic calender every year my godmothers husband got it off the net for me this year .. its hard to get vargos stuff in australia or at least in victoria and if i want somthing id have to get my godmothers husband to get it for me because he is the only one who has all the buyinh stuff off the internet stuff i wish there were more places that you could buy vargo's stuff coz its awsome

Posts: 30 02/11/06 9:59 Denizen	I think all of Vargo's artwork is beautiful it has so much feeling and meaning, I think he puts his heart and sould into what he dose, I can draw but not like him, but I enjoy looking at his artwork, the Winters Knight card, and the Dark Realms I have been getting a lot a compliments on his artwork.
