I know what you're thinking "you said nothing is true or definitively wrong so how can these faiths be false?" Very simple. Imagine a benevolent king who is good to his people. He requires obedience to maintain order. He does not demand it. When you bow before him does he not ask you to stand? Does he not claim to be a humble servant? So why would "A god" a supposedly divine being demand you to demean yourself, and sacrifice yourself for him. Laws hold their foundation in logic and reason not in religious command. They are meant to guide us, to save us from chaos and the darkness that is ignorance. From ignorance is born piety, from which is born self righteousness and we all know that if you tell a lie long enough you yourself will believe it to be true. In your own mind you become greater than every one else, a god among insects, this is extremely dangerous. It devalues the lives of those "insects" around you; it makes you stubborn and fills your heart with a false fire and an empty promise of grandeur and immortality. We have seen this too many times before. Richard the Lion heart, king of the Christian crusader army, Saladin, king of the noble Saracens, each secure in the nobility of their cause and each responsible for the deaths of thousands. How can this be noble? In any relative sense? Adolf Hitler, leader of the National socialist German workers party, a sick twisted man who believed he was doing the best for his country. Murdered over 12 million people. Was he a credit to society? I cannot judge. But if we subscribe to reason and logic instead of the narrow dogmatic view of the church, then we get a fairer picture.
I, myself, an impermanent mortal being. I was born a protestant Christian on this day I renounce that title and I subscribe to a new faith. My own. I am free of the tyranny of faith. I am free of the restrictions of morality and law, and free of the false truths that society forces on us. La shaya waiqun moutlaque bale koulone moumkine. Nothing is true and Everything is permitted.
