Moonlit forest
The moon casts an eerie glow upon this wood of shadow
Sylvan spirit’s roam and ghosts cast their morbid glow
Where darkness descends with a macabre gift
Of eternal torment and demise so swift
Where upon the trees sit wraiths of evil
And the mighty are reduced to cowards so feeble
And ancient creatures in the bushes lurk
Where silent killers take lives with a devilish smirk
This is the forest of dreams of untold perils
Where ancient evil sleeps of whom the ravens herald
Many have entered none have returned
Most are deterred and others onwards are spurred
The forest is dark and alive
In the darkness the evil does thrive
Many have underestimated it
and thus their souls are forfeit
The forest never rests in this moonlit glow
Illuminating the evil and hearts of shadow
Giving rise to howls of praise from creatures unnamed
It is the place where evil wanders unhindered and untamed.
This is the forest of macabre torment
Where the wind is but a dire lament
Where one hears the demon’s requiem in a deathly chorus
Dare you enter the moonlit forest.
