The Apparitions
I was alone in the dim, dim darkness,
The wind blew in with such agressiveness.
The dark shadows formed, the air turned cold,
I saw dark figures from the days of old.
They were as terrible as the daybreak,
They formed around me, they made the earth quake.
I cowered in fear as they said their names,
Their dark forms were surrounded in red flames.
"Worship us, mortal, bow down to our reign,"
Said they as my blood pumed fast in my veins.
Their fiery eyes stared into my own,
'Tis was a terror I had never known.
As the bright lightning struck, gone, they all fall,
As I wonder, "Did it happen at all?"
