Halloween has come and gone.
*sigh*
It seems that once October 1st arrived, time just flew to the 31st.

I had my giant Halloween party Friday night, the 30th. Was a SMASH!!! Everyone showed up in costume and we had loud music and games and dinner and dessert and wine and ........... oh my!
A few of the appetizers I made were:

I've seen these advertised in catalogs, and have seen a few in the stores - anyone ever use one of these things? If so, how do they work/did you like the results??

It's called The Webcaster Gun (looks like a hot glue gun!) ($50 smacks!). You hook it up to an air compressor (at lease 90 psi - which I have) and then you pull the trigger and "shoot" (spray) out the web-type material. The "web" comes in clear, neon yellow and glow in the dark.

I took my dog (aptly named "Boo") for his walk this morning and saw THREE houses decorated for Fall, one for Halloween!!! I also noticed the leaves have started falling and the air was very crisp this morning.

Anyone else notice the early signs of autumn?

My favorite season is drawing nigh!!!!!

Halloween Express is only in our town for a little over a month and this time they've rented an even larger building so I'm pretty excited! I might take a driver over there tomorrow. Might not buy much as they tend to be pricey. Last year I bought mostly bugs and spiders. And a couple glowy eyeballs

Today, I received the Halloween/Fall catalog from Oriental Trading. Yes, they have the usual half of the catalog dedicated to birthday and other party days, but there's some new offerings for this year's Halloween bash!!!

Just found out that 4 relatives have invited themselves to my Halloween party. They live in New York and have heard from other relatives how cool it is. Not a problem with them being here, it's just that now I really REALLY want to have a fantastic, creepy looking house inside. I work so hard on the exterior for the kiddies I don't put 100% into my interior! (I do maybe around 80%)

Oh, that Halloween noose is getting tighter....

While I had my car in for an oil change a couple days ago, I was working on my Halloween party menu to pass the time. This year, my theme is going to be "SPIDERS". For appetizers, I'm going to make "brain pate" (using a brain jello mold to make a tuna-type pate then invert it onto a spooky plate) and also some lovely "flayed flesh" (crackers or small toasts with smoked salmon "lox" on it)....

Okay, still pondering about who (or what???) to be this Halloween. I think I've narrowed down my decision to a lady pirate. But a type of gothic, mildly sexy pirate. (is there such a thing as a Victorian pirate?? with lots of black ruffly lace???)
So ....... any suggestions? I need some early help now before I start designing and buying the fabric.

Any chance of Nox Arcana making an appearance at GenCon Indy this year? I'm co-creator of a RPG site (Mythyc) that goes live in June with our Beta and our full launch is in August at GenCon.
