Last week while online, I stumbled upon an interesting artist by the name of Jasmine Becket-Griffith, who paints fantasy figures, including dark fairies and dragons, with a manga-like look. Her website is www.strangeling.com, for those interested.

I for one am really going to miss all the different banners of Joseph's artwork in the forums. Sadly the place looks a little dull without it. That's Yoku for ya. But I don't want our beloved borad owners to have to take the time away from other stuff just to make this place look special again. I know they have a lot on their plate as it is.

Alter Ego

A couple of years ago I was going through some rather drastic changes in my mood and personality... One day I came across the words: Alter Ego. So, I wento to my psychology teacher and asked her to explain it to me. She said that Alter Ego is the name used to describe and alternative personlity or personalities that a person create when they can't deal with reality... They create this new person so they can cope with life in a better way... I stared at her and a question came to my mind...

Okay, I know we all lead busy lives...but I've noticed that it's been pretty quite on the forums here of late ...is everyone okay? I know it's that time of year when the flu bug and other bugs are in the air and people are more prone to getting sick...I'm just hoping this isn't the case,here with our family of dark desires?

Goth & Hate Crimes

I've been desperately trying to write an article for media submission lately about recent attacks on people who are somehow either considered part of the Goth crowd by outsiders or associated in some way, but what I need is as much preliminary feedback as possible. I have been trying very hard to get people to tell me their stories, but to little avail. Even some who have been attacked have a sort of "can't win, don't try" attitude and want nothing to do with the issues I am trying...

Has anyone else heard the newest album from Nightwish? Their new singer is aright, but shes no Tarja. The album itself is interesting I think, some of it it classic Nightwish but many songs have a new twist. Sine tracks even managed to shock me.
Its a nice album overall but I still wish the conflict with Tarja hadn't happened. She is the voice of Nightwish.

we kicked my mother's husband out last night.
caught in lieing about drugs.
i knew from the very beginning that he was bad news.
he is leaving once he finds someone else to go.
he has tried to convince my mother to send me away since he first came into my mother's life.
then, he made her choose between him and me.
she told him to get the hell out.

so he is leaving soon. thank goodness.

I just wanted to let other members know that Dollar Tree stores have a fair amount of Halloween merchandise that's actually worth checking out. They have medium-sized foam tombstones; smaller tombstone 'paperweights'; gargoyle paperweights; potion bottles; and heavier, cement gargoyles in various styles. I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but here goes.

Would it be possable to get a forum to post short stories? Or perhaps edit one of the current fourms, such as Dark Poetry or Gruesome Games, to include short stories?

With all the talented people here, it's been making me want to contribute some of my stuff but I really suck at poetry. I'd really appreciate it if you could do that.
